Optic.com is a digital creator platform where artists upload, edit, and refine their images using built-in editing tools and creative filters. To extend the platform beyond editing, an NFT minting layer was added—allowing registered users to convert any uploaded image into an NFT directly from their account dashboard, with secure wallet connection, smart contract minting on Polygon, and on-chain proof of ownership.
Our team set out to build a complete Web3 layer on top of Optic.com's existing Core PHP and MySQL setup—without disturbing the editing tools that creators already loved. By combining Solidity-based smart contracts, multi-wallet connectivity, and IPFS-powered metadata storage, Optic.com now delivers a single, trusted system for minting, owning, and tracking digital art on-chain.
We also embedded duplicate-mint prevention, Polygonscan-linked transaction tracking, and a dedicated NFT dashboard inside the user profile to support a clear ownership experience. Together with low-cost Polygon transactions and four-wallet support covering both desktop and mobile users, these features ensured minting was not only seamless and verifiable, but also affordable and accessible to every creator on the platform.
